‘Creando equipo’, patronage, business and sport project for the clubs of Seville

The mayor of Seville, Antonio Muñozhas announced this Tuesday that the Seville City Council will consolidate its support for the Patronage, Business and Sport ‘Creando Equipo’ for elite sports clubs and teams from Seville through a financial contribution from 50.000 euros. This economic amount allocated to the local and metropolitan sports cluster will be added to the current programs and lines of subsidies to support sports and will grow to €1.9 million within the 2023 Municipal Budget that has been approved this Tuesday with the support of the municipal group of Citizens.

“Seville is a city of sports because of the major events it organizes, but also because of the network of public spaces and entities that are part of the day-to-day life of the city and that contribute to the growth of sport as an industry and an economic, productive and Social. This sports patronage project draws attention to public-private collaboration to participate and promote this reality, establish meeting points and unite efforts with the clubs and teams that represent our city and that project the Seville brand throughout Spain. And this boost is possible thanks to the approval of the 2023 municipal budget that allows support for entities that promote sport and the city”, highlighted the mayor during the presentation in which the president of the Association of Sports Clubs also participated. from Elite, Juan José Mora, the Seville City Council Sports delegate, David Guevara, and representatives of political groups from the municipal corporation.



The objective of the project is to establish ways of working that facilitate the generation of resources for the elite clubs of the association and provoke a return to the companies and entities that contribute these resources through communication actions, experiences, supports, media repercussion and positive impact on image and brand. For this, this program presented this Tuesday lines of work that ensure the sports performance of investments through branding, administration and communication with the support of Sevillian professionals and companies in the sector.

This unifying project aims to bring together the impact generated by 28 sports clubs of the highest national category of 15 different disciplines from the capital and its metropolitan area, representing about 200,000 fans. Among the clubs that are part of this cluster are the Sevillian sports clubs such as Club Baloncesto Sevilla Femenino, Club Balonmano Playa Sevilla, Club Béisbol Sevilla, Club Sevilla Nodo, Club American Football Blue Devils, Club American Football Linces, Club Futsal Compass, South Gymnastics Club, Milu Wrestling Club, Mairena Swimming Club, Seville Yacht Club, Amigos Rugby Club, Real Sciences Club, Crocodiles Rugby University Club, Mairena del Aljarafe Rugby Club, Híspalis Table Tennis Club, Seville Table Tennis Club, Mairena Taekwondo Club del Alcor, Isbilya Triathlon Club, Sevilla Triathlon Club, Esquimo Volleyball Club, Utrera Volleyball Club, Sincro Sevilla, Dos Hermanas Waterpolo Club, Sevilla Waterpolo Club, Dos Hermanas Rhythmic Gymnastics Club, Rinconada Badminton Club and Blume Gymnastics Club.

The local clubs that are part of this organization participate in parallel to the Seville City Council Sports Support Plan, which in the 2023 Municipal Budget will grow to 1.9 million for the first time through high competition programs, organization of sporting events in municipal facilities, participation in sports competitions or training programs for minors. At the same time, the investment calendar is maintained, which in 2022 added 7 million euros for the improvement of IMD facilities in which many of these entities carry out their activity.
