Conor McGregor hit by car – unhurt

Shocking moment in Ireland: while endurance training on the bike, MMA star Conor McGregor is hit by a car – at full speed. The former UFC world champion walks away with a few scrapes and a scare. And is driven home by the person who caused the accident.

The former UFC featherweight and lightweight world champion shares the near-death experience with his fans on Instagram: The driver of the car is not to blame, because of the low position of the sun he could not possibly see him. “Thank God it wasn’t my time. Thanks also to wrestling and judo – a conscious landing saved my life.”

Apart from a graze on his left hip, the Irishman was not injured at all. The driver stopped at the scene of the accident and – visibly shocked – asked about the well-being of the professional athlete.

“Everything is OK my friend! Don’t worry!” replies the martial artist, who bears the name “The Notorious” in the “UFC octagon”.

A short time later, Conor McGregor reports in a second video from the driver’s car. The MMA pro’s demolished bike can be seen in the trunk.

Still a little upset, but noticeably relieved, Conor McGregor asked the driver’s name and commented on the scene: “It’s not my time yet. All right Nick my friend. God bless you!”

Conor McGregor is one of the most famous mixed martial arts fighters in the world. In the UFC, the Irishman was the first fighter to hold the world title in two different weight classes.

Although “The Notorious” recently had a mixed performance record, he is considered one of the most influential figures in the young sport.
