Chris Paddack stays in Minnesota

The Minnesota Twins announced Wednesday that they have reached an agreement with right-hander Chris Paddack to a three-year contract extension through the 2025 season.

Paddack, who turned 27 last week, made five starts for Minnesota in 2022, going 1-2 with a 4.03 ERA with 20 strikeouts in 22.1 innings of work. That, before undergoing Tommy John surgery in May. The right-hander has made 66 appearances in his career between the Twins and Padres, in which he has gone 21-21 with a 4.20 ERA.

In 2019, he was named by Baseball America as part of the All-Rookie Team after posting a 9-7 record and a 3.33 earned run percentage in 26 starts with San Diego.
