Celtics consolidate standings in NBA | free press

The Boston Celtics have cemented their top spot in the NBA’s Eastern Conference with their sixth straight win. Yesterday it was 122:106 against the Charlotte Hornets.

Basketball pro Jayson Tatum was the most successful thrower with 33 points. The third-placed Milwaukee Bucks lost 95-111 to the Miami Heat and now have a tiny lead over the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers got a 118:117 against the Utah Jazz, Joel Embiid had 30 points and scored the decisive basket five seconds before the end.

The Memphis Grizzlies, meanwhile, did their duty against the Indiana Pacers. With the 130:112, the team now has 29 wins and 13 losses, like Western Conference table leaders Denver Nuggets. With nine wins in a row, the Grizzlies are currently the strongest team in the league. (dpa)
