Carolina Marín has certified this cold morning of January 19 her presence in the quarterfinals of the Indian Open.

The Huelva midfielder did so after defeating the Thai Ratchanok Intanon in two sets in the second round and after 37 minutes of play.

In the first, without reaching great differences in the score, Carolina Marín ended up winning it 21-16.

In the second, a more or less similar script for the Andalusian to sign another 21-16 that qualifies her for the quarterfinals of the Indian Open.

Awaiting Marín in the quarterfinals is the Japanese Akane Yamaguchi, the first seed and who eliminated the Spanish Clara Azurmendi in the first round of the round of 16. They have met fourteen times, with eight victories for Huelva.
