Cahors. Sad news for Lot tennis

On December 25, we learned with deep emotion and deep sadness of the

disappearance of Martin Courtois, taken away by the disease at the age of only 34 years. This last fight was the most difficult to lead and unfortunately, it did not turn out in favor of Martin.

He was one of the first students of Philippe Cujus at TC Cahors. A brilliant student, as we rarely come across, by far the best of all those who have passed through his hands at the club. The coach keeps the memory of an extraordinary youngster, cut out for competition, with a steely mind. Moreover, he won the Lot championship each year and also put his name on the charts at the regional level.

Trained by the Lot Departmental Committee when he was still barely a teenager, he joined the Toulouse hope center when he entered high school. He then managed to reach his best ranking in tennis: 0, a very good performance for one who also had his head on his shoulders. Beyond tennis, he was also a remarkable student who pursued a brilliant career as a lawyer in Paris.

But during all this time, despite the geographical distance, his heart remained attached to the city of Cadurcienne, to the tennis club where he had had many friends and teammates. We are of course thinking of his lifelong friends, Charles Olivier Vincent or Pierre Hadrian Navarre with whom he shared much more than tennis games.

In this very painful moment, the Tennis Club of Cahors and the Departmental Committee of the Lot have a strong thought for his son, his partner and all his relatives.
