Bundesliga: Leipzig – Stuttgart 2:1! Labbadia rages: “That’s shit” | Sports

Leipzig beat Stuttgart 2-1, continuing their unbeaten streak of 16 games in a row.

In the show by Dominik Szoboszlai (22), who scores two goals, there is a lot of discussion about a foul afterwards.

Why is?

25. Minute: First there is a free kick that should never have been called. After a delicate contact from Endo to Olmo, referee Zwayer wrongly calls for a free kick. Szoboszlai hits the box from 30 meters. His shot flutters a little and comes up again in front of the goal. There isn’t really much steam behind it, but Stuttgart keeper Müller can’t keep the ball.

What a double blunder! And ruins the good start.

VfB defender Anton rages at DAZN: “It was clearly not a foul! If it stays 0-0, we can take something with us here.”

Coach Labbadia is fuming about this scene: “We don’t need to talk about it. You won’t get a better counterpress. I’ve never seen that before. How can you whistle?! It doesn’t get any better! I can’t think of too much. That’s the way it is. It’s… real. Yes, what should I say? this is shit We have to accept it now.”

Because Stuttgart keeps up well after five short-term failures, but then Leipzig is superior. A curious situation. Coach Labbadia says before kick-off: “I don’t think I’ve ever experienced that in my coaching career.”

Substitute Perea has a mega chance for Stuttgart after the break. Free in front of Blaswich, however, he does not get the ball into the goal (46th).

And Leipzig hits back ice cold – thanks to the next mistake.

49. Minute: Vagnoman clears a cross to Silva, who heads it to Szoboszlai. After a first contact, he takes the ball directly and hits it in the corner below. Strong hit!

Szoboszlai, who scored his second brace in the Bundesliga – again against Stuttgart of all places: “Personally, I didn’t think I’d score two goals. But if you score twice, that’s always nice, of course.”

There’s still a bit of excitement at the end…

68. Minute: Because Gvardiol deflects a cross with his hand, there is a penalty after VAR notice. Führich takes the penalty. 2:1

Stuttgart presses, but does not meet. The last Leipzig bankruptcy was in Gladbach in mid-September (0: 3). Stuttgart, on the other hand, has been waiting for an away win since December 2021.
