Freiburg wins 3-1 against Augsburg, creates the first three of the new year.

Historical: With his 341st (!) game as Freiburg coach, Christian Streich (57) replaces club icon Volker Finke (74/340 times Freiburg coach). In the all-time list of the most loyal club coaches, Streich is now fourth behind Werder king Otto Rehhagel (493 appearances), Thomas Schaaf (480/Werder) and Winnie Schäfer (371/KSC).

Freiburg goalkeeper Flekken (80th) prevented the 2:2 with a reflex against Kelvin Yeboah, nephew of the legendary striker Anthony Yeboah (among others Frankfurt/HSV). Lienhart hits the header to make it 3-1 (85th).
