Bundesliga: Bremen striker Ducksch: “I didn’t behave well”

Attacking player Marvin Ducksch still has a guilty conscience more than two and a half months after being suspended for one game and the subsequent exit from the DFB Cup at his club Werder Bremen.

It was completely justified that he was punished and that the punishment was so bad, the 28-year-old said in an interview with “Kicker”. The striker was dropped from the squad for the match against SC Paderborn “for disciplinary reasons” and Bremen lost on penalties. “In turn, I feel bad when I’m asked about it internally – because I’ve damaged the team,” said Ducksch.

After the 2-0 defeat at FSV Mainz 05, national player Niclas Füllkrug’s partner in attack missed “most of the mandatory regeneration measures” and missed a team meeting and was penalized for it. “I didn’t behave well,” admitted Ducksch, but also said: “It was an English week, maybe we would have rotated like that, you don’t know. If we had progressed, nobody would have talked about it anymore.”
