Bonn dominates Oldenburg and remains undefeated at home

The Telekom Baskets Bonn also won their eighth home game in the basketball league. The second in the table won 108:79 (61:41) against EWE Baskets Oldenburg. Despite their 14th win in the 16th game of the season, Bonn remains second in the table behind Alba Berlin.

In an offensive, high-class game, both teams scored 59 points together in the first quarter. Only the hosts were able to keep up this rhythm, thanks to a 20:2 run they pulled away to 61:41 at the break. The last nine Bonn points went to TJ Shorts, who scored 25 of his 30 points in the first half. Even after the break, the Bonners controlled the game, with 18 successful three-pointers, they set ratiopharm Ulm’s season record.

The Basketball Löwen Braunschweig achieved an important success in the fight to remain in the class: the Lower Saxony team prevailed at the Veolia Towers Hamburg with 92:83 (48:41) and won their second game in a row. Despite their fourth win of the season, Lower Saxony remain second to bottom in the table. Even after changing coaches, the Towers have to wait for the next win and lost for the third time in a row.

With a 106:87 (48:39) home win over the MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, the Hakro Merlins Crailsheim won their fourth game in a row. Thanks to a 16-0 run at the beginning of the final quarter, the Crailsheimers pulled away decisively. The Niners Chemnitz achieved their fourth home win in a row with an 89:76 (41:40) win over the Fraport Skyliners from Frankfurt.
