Superstar LeBron James continues his hunt for an NBA legend. Only 363 points are missing from the record. The Wagner brothers have to live with defeat.

LeBronJames became only the second basketball player in NBA history to break the 38,000 point mark.

In the 112:113 defeat of his the Angels Lakers against the Philadelphia 76ers, the league superstar had 35 points, reducing the gap to record holder Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to 363 points.

However, James’ strong performance in the exciting game did not change anything about the record champions’ 24th defeat of the season. National team captain Dennis Schröder scored seven of his eight points in the last quarter and was also unable to avoid defeat.

Defeat for the Wagner brothers

Previously, the Orlando Magic were with Moritz Wagner and Franz Wagner barely missed a surprise. Against the Denver Nuggets, leaders of the Western Conference, the team with the brothers from Berlin caught up 15 points behind and was even 4 points ahead shortly before the end. Seconds before the end, the Serb Nikola Jokic hit a difficult three-pointer over Franz Wagner to make it 119:116. The younger brother scored 19 points, Moritz Wagner recorded 8 points as a substitute in 15 minutes.

In the Eastern Conference, the Brooklyn Nets suffered a setback, losing 102-112 to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The number two behind leaders Boston Celtics has only a minimal lead over the pursuers after the 76ers win in Los Angeles Philadelphia and Milwaukee.
