Barça could be eliminated from the Copa de la Reina despite having won at Osasuna (0-9). The Blaugrana team would have committed an improper alignment. A few moments later, Osasuna made a statement admitting that they will miss the match against Barça. “The board of directors of the entity has adopted the decision after the dispute of the meeting motivated by the respect that its players and fans deserve in the face of the obvious violation of the Regulations, recognizing in turn from the utmost sportsmanship and respect towards the Blaugrana institution its superiority on the playing field”, says the letter.
The match had no history, on the grass. Bruna Vilamala had been the main protagonist of the match with three goals.
