Marc Peñarroya will not be able to be there tonight, starting at 8:45 p.m. (Vinx TV and LaLiga Sports TV), with his teammates from Alimerka Oviedo Baloncesto on the TAU Castelló field. The OCB’s Catalan point guard was injured in the last training session of the week and misses the important match that the Blues will play against the team led by Juan Antonio Orenga, former national coach.
In a brief statement, the club has reported that “Marc Peñarroya suffered a muscle injury in his left thigh during the last training session before tonight’s game against TAU Castelló and as a precaution he will not be part of the game.” The OCB adds that it will be in “the return to training” when something more is known about “the diagnosis and evolution” of the player, which will be directed by “the Alimerka Oviedo Basketball medical services”.
The OCB also has limping Romeo Crouch and Chuso González, to which the march of Alonso Meana joins, in the same position, to Talavera of LEB Plata. Thus, it will have to be a player like the Icelandic Thorir Thorbjarnarson who lends a hand in the base position to make up for the casualties and to try to load Crouch and Chuso too much in case they can participate in the duel.
The one against TAU Castelló is presented as an important match for the team coached by Trifón Poch, since they have just one more victory than the Asturian team, which has four so far this season. A match therefore very relevant in the fight for permanence in the LEB Oro and in which details such as the “basket-average” will also be important.
