The Sala Consiglio of the Town Hall hosted an exciting moment. THE Italian Champions 2022 Under 12 Baseball have received from the hands of the Councilor for Sport Marco Bosi a commemorative parchment of the city for the well-deserved national title conquered.
One by one, the very young 15 athletes, the coaches and the managers of the JUNIOR PARMA BC have paraded through the benches of the City Council for a catwalk that featured young talents and a sport truly lived with passion and team spirit. The ceremony was conducted by the new delegate to Sport of the Municipality of Parma David Antonelli.
Il President Mario Caravita, Vice President Carla They, together with coaches Arrieta Pedroso Ricardo, Pia Fulvio, Artze Luis and Perracino Andrea, underlined how “this victory comes almost twenty years after the last title won by a Junior Parma BC team. It was a goal for us, but also a starting point. Let’s start from this podium to look forward with more enthusiasm and more security. The world of baseball in Parma is growing and can count on the attention, support and closeness of the institutions as this moment demonstrates, which pushes us to do well and aim high”.
“It’s even more beautiful and gratifying that the cadet team and the younger athletes won such an important title” commented Councilor Bosi “Sport is also a training ground for growth and values. Reaching such important goals gives us hope for a tradition that continues, which will carry the name of Parma far away, but above all in a sport of our city that manages to make people express themselves at their best its boys and girls and to truly offer an experience of life, of socialization, of values”.
During the initiative, the athletes of the other Parmesan Baseball and Softball companies who participated in national and international events in 2022 were mentioned.
The Junior Parma athletes who won the under 12 Italian championship are: Barbieri Giulio, Barbieri Davide, Barbieri Mattia, Bondani Sebastiano, Campanini Mattia, Conti Tommaso, Franzoni Alex, Melegari Nicolò, Perracino Leonardo, Pisi Andrea, Rossi Francesco, Soliani Matteo, Spinuso Mattia, Viani Marco and Zucconi Leon.
