Automotive industry launches project to accelerate CCT legitimization in the sector – El Sol de México

Organizations of the Mexican automotive industry launched a campaign with which they seek to guarantee respect for the rights of workers through the respect and legitimization of the collective agreements of each workplace in the industry.

Companies in the automotive sector and associations such as the Cluster and the National Auto Parts Industry (INA) reported that they will “accelerate” compliance with article 23 of the TMEC to “take care of human capital.”

Luis Alberto González, director of the Cluster of San Luis Potosí, urged small companies to go to the Cluster agencies of their federal entity so that they can be instructed and guided in order to guarantee respect for the rights of their workers.

“We have to take care of our most important raw material, human capital,” said González.

The call from the authorities is centralized in companies from the State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Nuevo León and San Luis Potosí, however the inclusion of companies from other entities is also expected.

According to the authorities of the automotive sector, workshops and conferences will be offered so that employers adopt collective agreements in a better way. According to the INA, there are -only in its sector- two thousand companies affiliated to a collective agreement.
