League 1 schedule today was ready to play three matches. But, Arema FC vs Bali United finally postponed because the host could not determine the venue of the match.
Arema FC vs Bali United in continuation Liga 1 should take place, Monday (30/1/2023). Previously, the Liga 1 website wrote that Singo Edan’s duel with Tridatu’s Troops took place at the Sultan Agung Stadium, Bantul, Yogyakarta.
However, the rejection of Arema FC has been echoed for a long time. Liga 3 club, PS Hizbul Wathan, protested against Arema FC because it was considered to be the trigger for Liga 3 to be stopped as a result of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy.
Three other places have been explored by Arema FC to hold home matches. Moch Soebroto Stadium (Magelang), Jatidiri Stadium (Semarang), and Kebogiro Stadium (Boyolali) were selected, but also received rejections.
Arema FC was punished by PSSI to hold a match 250 kilometers away from their homebase as a result of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy. However, Arema FC had difficulty finding a replacement cage.
Apart from the duel with Bali United today, Arema FC also failed to hold a duel with Borneo FC in the middle of this month. At that time, Arema chose the Jatidiri Stadium as the place to compete.
Apart from Arema FC vs Bali United, today’s League 1 will also host PSM Makassar vs RANS Nusantara FC. The match will take place at Gelora BJ Habibie, Pare-Pare, kickoff at 15.00 WIB.
Juku Eja must win in that match to stick with Persija Jakarta in the Liga 1 standings. The Kemayoran Tigers are in the top position with 41 points, three points away from PSM.
One other match will be Borneo FC vs Persik Kediri. The match will take place at Segiri Stadium, Samarinda, kickoff at 18.30 WIB.
