The -6 of the first leg is not overturned by a hair’s breadth. On the shields Rubinetti, author of 24 points, and a Peralta with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Orsini decisive with a three-point play in the final.
It is Izzo who breaks the delay for the hosts with a triple to make it 3-4. He is immediately followed by Globys for the 5-4 shot from the corner. The guests assert themselves in the paint, but have to deal with Rubinetti’s shot from 6.75 which finds the 9-8. Peralta and Izzo hammer the opponent’s retina and sign the +6 (14-8), which forces Mondo Camerette to time out. On his return, Rubinetti again finds the bottom of the net for 16-8. Iannicelli brings his team over double digits, then is replied by Nacca (19-11). At the end Ruggiero takes the chair, with 4 points in a row. Enthusiasm is dampened a bit, however, by the triple on the siren of the former Di Napoli for the 23-17 with which the first fraction ends. It is always the latter that sinks the penetration of the 23-19, which opens the second ten turns of the hand. Too many mistakes for the Grigiorossi who are caught up and overtaken by Nacca and Ordine (23-26). A shot from Ianncelli’s average is needed to break the Caserta break (25-26). Rubinetti will take care of it, with a three-point game, to put Angri back with his nose ahead (28-26). The locals try to extend with Izzo. Competitiveness rises and Caserta becomes dangerous again with Delic’s triple of 65-63. It’s Ordine that equals 65 with just over 3′ left on the clock. On an attacking rebound from Globys, the ball reaches Rubinetti for the torpedo to make it 71-67. This time the One Team is inaccurate. You fight for the difference at this point. And Izzo is sent to the line at 21” from the term which is only 1/2 (72-67). Caserta makes another mistake and 4” Angri has the ball to overturn. But Rubinetti does not find the basket. Angri can still rejoice. Coach Chiavazzo’s new course begins in the best possible way.
