Alpine skiing: Meillard in the race for a podium, Kristoffersen leads the way

Loïc Meillard will play for the win at Schladming. The Valaisan ranked 3rd in the 1st round of the night slalom, 0″30 behind leader Henrik Kristoffersen and 0″09 from 2nd place occupied by the Austrian Manuel Feller (2nd). The 2nd round is to follow from 8:35 p.m. on RTS 2.

Very consistent this winter, Loïc Meillard continues to play safe bets. The Valaisan of Neuchâtel origin skied the top of the piste perfectly, but he gave up a little too much time in the last sector. A sector which on the other hand allowed Ramon Zenhäusern to regain time on his opponents to finally take 5th place at 0”66.

Magnificent winner in Kitzbühel on Sunday, Daniel Yule lacked precision. In high demand after his Sunday triumph, the athlete from Val Ferret finds himself 8th at 1”18.

Marc Rochat, Tanguy Nef and Luca Aerni struggled on a track that scored. The Vaudois occupies the provisional 20th place at 2”53, just ahead of the Genevan, while the skier from Crans-Montana is 24th.
