Alimerka Oviedo Baloncesto, obfuscated in a last quarter in which they were only able to score seven points, added a new defeat at home, this time against Cantabria (62-69), and ends the first round in relegation places to LEB Silver. The team led by Trifón Poch, which had started the competition with seven consecutive defeats and then went on to add four victories in the following five games, now links five games lost in a row and with an alarming feeling of nullity in the decisive moments.

This time the OCB started well and went on to win 20-9, but little by little the visitors adjusted their game and leveled the game. At the end of the first quarter, the local advantage was four points, reduced to two at halftime. The third quarter was the best for the Asturian team, launched under defensive pressure that paid off, but they could only reach the last set with a five-point lead. In those last ten minutes, Cantabria dismasted a reckless Oviedo with their defense, who gradually sank into his impotence.
