Alba Berlin suffered a clear defeat against the leaders of the basketball Bundesliga. Cristo Cabrera’s team lost to the TK Hannover women’s basketball team by 48:66 (16:45). The albatrosses are seventh in the table.
The dominance of the hostesses became clear in the first half. Alba didn’t get into the game and had to accept a clear 6:28 deficit after the first quarter. By half-time, the lead had even increased to 29 points – Hannover went into the break with a clear 45:16.
After the change of sides, Alba got better and was able to win the section. With 17:8 the third quarter went to the Berliners. The lead of the Hanoverians remained high. The last quarter also went to Berlin (15:13), but the deficit from the first half was just too big to pose a threat to the hosts again. Hanover deservedly won 66:48.
