The babazorro team beat Valladolid and signs another surprise in a very even KO tournament between great and humble

Alavés, Sevilla, Real Sociedad and Mallorca certified this Wednesday their pass to the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey, against Valladolid, Linares, Logroñés and Pontevedra, respectively. The team from Vitoria completes a new surprise at the expense of a Valladolid team that played the entire game with one player less, after the expulsion of Feddal. A solitary goal from Sylla was worth it to place another Second team in the round of 16 hype.

The First Division team that suffered the most to get through the round was Javier Aguirre’s, even going so far as to play extra time at the Pasarón stadium. Abdón Prats and Muriqi tipped the balance in favor of the vermillions in extra time.

Sevilla, for their part, passed over Linares with a very plugged-in En-Nesyri, who scored a hat-trick. Lamela and Gastón, with their own goal, completed the Seville win 0-5 at the Linarejos stadium.

Real Sociedad beat Logroñés by a minimum in a match where Imanol Alguacil’s men were the owners of the ball and enjoyed chances to close the game early, but finally Robert Navarro’s goal in the first period was enough to seal their qualification to the round of 16 final.

Tomorrow, it will be the turn of Betis, Osasuna and Athletic, who will face Ibiza-Islas Pitiusas, Nástic and Eldense, respectively, to close the round of 32 of the Copa del Rey.

Results:

Alaves 1-0 Valladolid

Logroñés 0-1 Real Sociedad

Pontevedra 0-2 Mallorca

Linares 0-5 Seville
