AC Milan eliminated by Torino reduced to 10

AC Milan was surprised at home in the round of 16 of the Italian Cup by a Torino yet reduced to ten (1-0 after extra time), trapped by the parades of Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and an express counter concluded by Frenchman Ndary Adopo.

Torino will meet Sampdoria Genoa or Fiorentina in the quarter-finals, opposed Thursday in the eighth.

Milan, in numerical superiority since the exclusion for a second warning from Koffi Djidji (70th), cracked six minutes from the end of extra time. While Milan pushed to try to force the garnet lock, the Turinese flew against on the right wing by Brian Bayeye whose center was taken over without opposition by Adopo (114th).

This goal left the Milanese and their supporters stunned, just three days after the two goals conceded at the end of the match against AS Roma (2-2) in the league.

Torino can thank their goalkeeper Milinkovic-Savic first and foremost for this feat at San Siro.

The Serbian goalkeeper was first saved by his post on a header from Charles De Kaetelaere (26th) but he was then impeccable in the face of the opposing attacks, which became closer and closer when Torino found themselves at ten.

He was particularly decisive on a heavy strike from the same Belgian (45th), two volleys from Theo Hernandez entered in the second half (83rd, 90 + 2nd) and an attempt by Olivier Giroud, also thrown into the bath in the second half (105th ).
