AC Milan corrected on the lawn of Lazio

At home, Lazio Rome largely won against AC Milan and came within a point of their evening opponent.

AC Milan no longer responds at the start of 2023, rolled on Tuesday by Lazio Rome (4-0) at the Stadio olimpico and pushed back mid-championship to twelve points behind leader Naples, launched at a hellish pace towards its first scudetto for over 30 years.

If they remain second, the Rossoneri were still unrecognizable and apathetic for almost 90 minutes, in the wake of their rout in the Italian Super Cup against Inter Milan (3-0) and a start to the year at the ‘towards.

For their third match in a row, Milan cracked in the first ten minutes, betrayed by a static defense on a cross from Mattia Zaccagni taken over by Sergej Milinkovic-Savic after a feint from Luis Alberto (4th). Zaccagni, a real laziale poison, doubled the bet, more lively to take a shot pushed back by the post (38th).

Milan’s slight reaction at the start of the second half will not have weighed heavily against an overexcited Lazio and such a fragile Milan: Pierre Kalulu conceded a penalty transformed into force by Luis Alberto (67th) then Felipe Anderson added to the score, still forgotten in the defense (75th).

That this Milan is far from the one who, last season on the same lawn, had overturned a match that started badly to win in additional time in front of Lazio (2-1), a victory that looks like a turning point in the conquest of the scudetto.

Currently, the head no longer responds and the legs are tired, like Fikayo Tomori and Davide Calabria, both out injured, in a defense already orphaned by Theo Hernandez who remained in Milan (muscular fatigue).

Olivier Giroud claimed the ball in vain until he left (58th). Ismaël Bennacer narrowly missed the skylight on a free kick which could have changed things (50th). And Stefano Pioli paced in vain in front of his bench without recognizing his players or finding a solution.

His counterpart Maurizio Sarri, he looked like a good day: his Lazio, even without Ciro Immobile (injured), comes back to a point behind the Rossoneri, third on equal points with Inter (4th) and Roma (5th) , soaring like the club’s emblematic eagle which, before each match, turns in the sky of the Olimpico.
