Abu Dhabi Championship: Lee and Lowry in the lead, Perez one shot behind the leaders

Another solid lap for Victor Perez who, a week after an ideal Hero Cup (no defeats), continues with three good first laps in Abu Dhabi. The French returned on Saturday on the Yas Links a card of 68 (-4), with five birdies and only one bogey.

The Tarbais thus climbs to third place tied with Grant Forrest and Sebastian Soderbergh, at a total of -12 and just behind the leaders. A tight ranking (21 players stand in four moves), dominated by Shane Lowry and Min Woo Lee (66 each, -13 total), but also Francesco Molinari (69).

Rozner also in the game

Still on the French side, Antoine Rozner seems to have found the right fuel on the greens of the emirate, with a moving day in 68 (5 birdies, 1 bogey). The Parisian is now 7th in -11, tied with Padraig Harrington. An Irish veteran author of 6 birdies in a row, between holes 11 and 16.

Levy and Pavon back off

Saturday more complicated on the other hand for Alexander Levy. After two surprising first rounds of consistency despite a return to play after 11 months of absence, the Varois returned a 74, with three bogeys on the first 11 holes and a birdie, at 17 (33rd, -6).

Finally, card of 72 for Matthieu Pavon, who lost eight places and found himself 42nd (-4).
