The team captains for the 2023 NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City have been announced!

From the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo of Greece receives this honor for the third time in his career after 2019 and 2020. (NEWS: All current information about the NBA)

However, LeBron James won the most votes in a voting. The 38-year-old superstar has been named to the league’s all-star team for the 19th time, matching Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record.

James is also expected to surpass the NBA point record held by Abdul-Jabbar by All-Star Weekend on February 19th. Going into the Los Angeles Lakers’ next game at the Boston Celtics, James is just 157 points behind the living legend (38,387 points).

There is a new feature this year for the captains chosen by the fans, players and media representatives. Antetokounmpo and James will only put their teams together in a live draft ahead of the game.

The other names of the starting positions have already been chosen.

In the West, James will be joined by Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks), Zion Williamson (New Orleans Pelicans) and Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets). (DATA: NBA results and schedule)

The other East starters are Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving (both Brooklyn Nets), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics) and Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland Cavaliers).

All remaining participants will be chosen by NBA coaches and announced on February 2nd.
