150 athletes met this weekend in Canet d’en Berenguer in the first test of the “Nordic Walking Cup” of the Mountaineering and Climbing Sports Federation of the Valencian Community (FEMECV). A competition scored at the regional level that crowned, in the absolute classification, Ramón Álvarez and Carolina Margarita Más, both of the SMCA Maratón de Crevillent.
The sporting event was organized by the Canet Judo Club, Mountain Sports and Climbing Federation of the Valencian Community and Canet d’en Berenguer City Council, whose sports councilor, Eduardo Almor, was one of those in charge of delivering the trophies.
One of the most striking aspects of the test was its route, 12.91 kilometers, which ran through the riverside forest and the paths of the Palancia river depending on the different categories. A competition that developed with total normality and without incidents.
The Councilor for Sports, Eduardo Almor, has thanked the involvement of the Canet Judo Club and the Federation of Mountain Sports and Climbing of the Valencian Community, as well as the technicians of the City Council for the work done, as well as the athletes for his participation in the march.
