????5 things Dallas can do to help Prescott

What was sure became doubt. Talent gives way to discomfort. The fall of the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs highlighted, once and for all, a sad narrative of the team: it is not possible to trust Dak Prescott. With a contract you still have high impact for the next two years, getting rid of the quarterback is not an option. Therefore, it is up to the franchise to look for alternatives that reduce its burden of carrying the game, since, in this, we have seen that it is not capable. What can Jerry Jones & friends do to help with this process?

rejuvenating the protection

The Jason Peterson experiment didn’t work and Tyron Smith, again, was ruled out by injuries. At least Jones could see Tyler Smith’s choice not prove to be a fiasco. Aside from the natural swings of a rookie, he’s had a solid year protecting Prescott’s blind side and sets high hopes for his more mature 2023.

Still, the other end of the offensive line needs a younger solution. Counting on Tyron’s health is playing with luck too much, and the team has already been through this with Elliott, as we commented above. Free agency brings some interesting opportunities (with emphasis on Mike McGlinchey), since the goal is not to have a great starter; but, yes, having a decent reserve for the moment Smith gets injured – and he almost certainly will.
