Xavi’s options to fill the void left by Lewandowski’s absence

Next Saturday, December 31, Barça returns to the competition and does so by hosting Espanyol at the Camp Nou. His coach, Xavi Hernández, will surely be able to count on central Ronald Araújo, injured a few months ago, but he will be without the team’s top scorer: Robert Lewandowski is suspended for three games, after the Court of Sports Arbitration (TAD) dismissed the appeal presented by the Blaugrana club. With the Pole absent next week and also to face Atlético and Getafe, Xavi has several options in front of him to try to replace him.

One of them is to offer ownership in Memphis. The Dutchman has put his physical problems behind him, but has only played two games this League (scoring one goal). Ansu has played more (14 appearances) and has more goalscoring instincts (he has made three), while he can also place Ferran Torres as a reference (13 games and 2 goals).
