World Cup 2022: Morocco protests against France defeat! Does finale wobble? | Sports

This game still has aftermath…

Morocco held an official protest against César Arturo Ramos’ refereeing performance WM-Submitted semi-final between France and Morocco (2-0). Specifically, it is about two penalties (including in the 27th minute) that the North Africans feel cheated of.

Is there a threat of a postponement or cancellation of the World Cup final?

It happened in the 27th minute Morocco is protesting because of THIS France scene

The Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) said on its own website: “The FRMF has sent a letter to the relevant body (Fifa’s note) pointing out the refereeing situations which, according to several refereeing specialists, caused the Moroccan team to suffer two undisputed penalties were denied. The FRMF also expressed its great surprise that the video referees (VAR) did not react to these situations.”

It continued: “The FRMF recalls that it will spare no effort to defend and uphold the rights of the national team by promoting fairness in refereeing and those refereeing decisions made during the semi-final match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 were denounced.”

Specifically, it’s about THESE two scenes!

27 minutes: The first excitement! France star Theo Hernandez (25/AC Milan) tries to clear Sofiane Boufal (29) in the penalty area and hits the ball.

The Moroccan too – or is it Boufal who is late?

Morocco stars demanded penalties!

The fact is: The Mexican referee Cesar Ramos (39) decided on an offensive foul and showed the attacker yellow.

In a second scene, the Moroccan Selim Amallah (26/Standard Liege) is said to have collapsed in his own penalty area.

It happened after the game This World Cup moment moved EVERYONE to tears

However, it is doubtful whether this protest really has any chance of success. Ultimately, the factual decision of the referee applies on the pitch. A retrospective game evaluation due to referee decisions can normally only be given if the referee has obviously broken the rules. That shouldn’t be the case in this case.

It is therefore to be expected that the World Cup final between Argentina and France on Sunday (4 p.m., ARD, Magenta and here in the BILD live tickerr) will take place quite normally. However, Morocco’s protest is a cause for concern because it is very rare for teams to file official complaints about refereeing after the fact.
