WATCH: Seppe Odeyn does it! He triumphs for the 10th time in the (icy) Hell of Kasterlee | duathlon

Seppe Odeyn has once again won the Hell of Kasterlee. The 35-year-old duathlete was the strongest in the extremely tough competition for the 10th time. The participants have to run 15 km, mountain bike 125 km and run another 30 km.

The 20th edition of Hel van Kasterlee was one in hellish (read: freezing) conditions. The mercury indicated freezing temperatures throughout the game.

The hard surface made it a fast race. Seppe had to chase Odeyn on his mountain bike. The top favorite put things in order himself and rode in a leading group of 6.

In the final (30 km run) Odeyn quickly made a gap. A chasm that he gradually deepened.

After 7 hours and 15 minutes, Odeyn crossed the finish line as the winner for the 10th time. With this he fills half of the honors list in Kasterlee.

Geert Lauryssen was the only one who could put the heat on Odeyn in the cross duathlon. He finished a good minute behind the winner, Simon Stevens was 3rd by a considerable distance.
