Video: The American has no legs, but still managed to win an MMA fight

When you are Zion Clark something humane, just something will not stop him. Although he was born without legs, this could not deter him from playing sports. He even entered the record book several times – he ran the fastest distance of 20 meters on his hands, jumped the highest on his hands (83.8 cm) and did the most diamond push-ups in 3 minutes (248).

In elementary school, this now 25-year-old American tried wrestling. Undaunted by initial setbacks, he nearly qualified for Ohio State’s most important tournament by the end of high school. Then he got it into his head that he would also try an MMA match. After several years of training, it finally dawned on him.

If it was an attempt by the promoter to make money from a disabled person, it would certainly be reprehensible. But Zion has been training in MMA for a long time and has already shown on the wrestling mat that he can compete with healthy people.

But a sharp fight in a cage is, of course, something else. Although Clark is very mobile on the hands, he cannot count on cover in the attack. However, thanks to the rules, he is also practically constantly grounded, so the opponent cannot kick him in the head.

At the weekend, Zion was greeted by a certain person in the Octagon Eugene Murray, who went into the match with a record of 0-5, which spoke volumes about his fighting qualities. He didn’t really want to attack, and once he was on the ground, he wasn’t strong enough for Clark. Of course, he didn’t have much of a chance to threaten in his stance, but he still tried to hit from a spin. But he tried more to catch Murray’s leg and pull him to the ground, which he succeeded in several times.

After three three-minute rounds, Clark deservedly won on points. While some close to him hope that he has fulfilled his dream and will not go to the next game, he hopes that he will. He is also looking forward to the Summer Olympics in Paris, where he would like to wrestle, and then plans to compete in a wheelchair at the Paralympics. And also to continue to show that nothing is impossible and excuses are for the weak.
