Valdemorillo approves the honorary distinctions on the occasion of the San Blas and Candelaria festivities

Among other distinctions, it has been approved to grant the distinction of Valdemorillo’s Favorite Son posthumously to Bonifacio Varea González, author, among other works, of ‘Valdemorillo: history and present, a book for a people’, a book published in 1991 whose pages “continue to be a reference to get to know the town”.

In addition, on February 2, the day on which the official granting of these awards is celebrated, the Medal of Civil Merit will also be awarded to José Luis Hipólito for his long career as a municipal employee and for his knowledge of history, uses and traditions. premises and their involvement in maintaining and promoting them; the Medal of Sports Merit to Carlos Trillo on behalf of the Club Arqueros Villa de Valdemorillo for his great work in promoting archery, bringing the town’s name to the top in national and international competitions; and the Medal of Educational Merit to the Juan Falcó School on the 20th anniversary of the implementation of the Special Education system “which makes this center an example of inclusion and dedication in the care of these students. In addition, in the same act the respective plaques will be delivered to recently retired municipal workers.

Works at the Juan Falcó School

At the same meeting of the Governing Board, the works to improve the kitchen of the Juan Falcó Public School were also approved, which have a budget of just over 62,000 euros and will be carried out by the company FR Centro 2020 SL The works, which will be carried out in summer so as not to interfere with the activity of the center, include the renovation of all the flooring and tiling, plumbing repairs and the new installations of the ventilation, fire protection, low voltage and gas systems.
