Two-man bobsled in Park City: Kalicki and Nolte the fastest in the ice track

Double success for the German two-man bob pilots. At the World Cup in Park City, Kim Kalicki celebrated victory ahead of teammate Laura Nolte.

The German World Cup team was able to shine on Saturday (December 3rd, 2022) in the Park City ice track. Kim Kalicki and Laura Nolte prevailed in the two-man bobsleigh ahead of the American Kaillie Humphries.

“I got two solid runs down, for three practice runs it was pretty solid”, said Kalicki, who drove to victory with brakewoman Leonie Fiebig. With two best times, the woman from Wiesbaden on the 2002 Olympic track was 0.23 seconds ahead of Beijing Olympic champion Nolte, who rode with brakewoman Lena Neudecker.

Buckwitz just missed the podium

Lisa Buckwitz, 2018 Olympic two-man bobsleigh champion, just missed the podium. Buckwitz, who finished second in the monobob the day before, finished fourth with Neele Schuten and the best start time.
