Two French tennis players have been banned for life for match-fixing

The ITIA (International Tennis Integrity Agency) reported that two French tennis players were banned for life from the sport following investigations into multiple match-fixing incidents since 2014.

The players are Jules Okala and Mick Lescure. The first is a 25-year-old player who became number 338 on the planet and who in 2022 played only three games (one at the Challenger level and two ITF) with all losses. On the other hand, Lescure is 29 years old and had the best position in 487 in 2018. This year, he only competed in the first round of the M15 de Creteil and was defeated.

As reported by ITIA, the cases were ruled by the independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer Charles Hollander. and the sanctions mean that both players are permanently banned from playing or attending any tennis event. sanctioned by the governing bodies of this sport.

Okala was found guilty of seven counts of match-fixing and, in addition, he was given a lifetime ban with a $15,000 fine while Lescure was found guilty of eight counts. and was fined $40,000. Both players have been part of larger police investigations in France and Belgium.
