Transfer market, work for Praet: contacts on the Leicester-Turin axis

The grenades are also ready to invest outright, but for less than ten million

One of the tracks to keep in great consideration for the winter market is the one that leads to Dennis Praet. The esteem of Toro and above all of Juric for the Belgian is well known, as is the interest of the player himself in returning to wearing the grenade shirt. Vagnati and his staff had already tried to bring the midfielder back to the shadow of the Mole in the summer market, but in August Leicester did not give the green light to the sale. In the meantime, however, Praet has struggled to find space with continuity, losing among other things the call-up to the national team for the World Cup in Qatar.

Praet pushes: he wants to go back to Taurus

The will of the player is therefore clear: to go back to wearing the grenade shirt with which he had done so well last season. An interest absolutely reciprocated by Toro, who is sensing an opportunity to reinforce the squad with a quality joker. Because Praet, in addition to being a player with unquestionable technical skills, would guarantee Juric more choices in more than one department. It is known that the Belgian can make the difference on the frontline and has already been seen last season, but the 1994 class could also be an excellent pawn in the midfield. After all, Vagnati himself, in September, had openly explained his desire to bring the Belgian back to the grenade to reinforce the midfield.

Contacts on the Leicester-Turin axis

Said of the will of Toro and of the player, we will now have to wait to understand what is that of Leicester. Praet is linked to the English club until 30 June 2024 and is anything but a regular owner, so the assumptions would suggest a transfer in the January transfer market. However, the definitive green light from Leicester has not yet arrived and further contacts between the parties will therefore be necessary. For its part, Toro would be ready to invest to bring Praet to the granata outright, but the price should drop significantly below ten million euros. We therefore continue to work on the Turin-Leicester axis: the prerequisites for bringing Praet back to the grenade are not lacking, but work will still have to be done to find the right balance.
