Third triumph for Gigi Porta in the archery “Memorial Bernardini”.

For the third consecutive edition, the “Memorial Bernardini” of archery ends up in the hands of Luigi “Gigi” Porta, the archer from Fagnano Olona who is once again a result implacable in the competition dedicated to the great master of this discipline, the man who brought the compound bow to Italy.

Out of five editions held, Porta has therefore won three times detaching in this roll of honor the other two archers capable of conquering the trophy, namely Luigi Dragoni and Fernando Vicini. This time Porta, over the 4 rounds organized between Saturday and Sunday, finished with 584 points, three more than Alessandro Lodetti (581), runner-up; podium completed by young Nicole Moccia who closed at 578.

In addition to the overall classification, however, there were other competitions: excellent performance of the Three Towers Archers of Cardano al Campo, landlord company. the Tre Torri have monopolized the podiums of the very young Olympic arch category (Baravelli, Clivio, Gerardi) and of the senior compound (Vailati, Puricelli, Stizzoli) with victories also in the relative team classifications.

First place in the individual also for Samuele Barigozzi (Olympic male boy), Martino Calò (Olympic master in front of teammate Marco Rasi) and a brace in the senior bare archery for Alessio Rudoni and Alessandra Bigogno. Gold also for the men’s master Olympic teams (Calò, Rasi, Rasulo), men’s senior compound (Uggeri, Vicini, Barigozzi) and men’s bare archery master (Zermian, De Bortoli, Seminara).

Other podiums have also arrived in the Olympic arc from Anna Colombo (third among the seniors), Marta Corini and Sofia De Luca (second and third among the students), Lucrezia Buscarino (third among the girls) and Riccardo Grataroli (second among the very young ). In the compound, Matteo Uggeri’s second place among the seniors stands out, who surpassed his teammate Marco Barigozzi by two lengths, who won the bronze, as well as Alfonso Stanzione (compound) and Roberto Zermian (barebow) among the masters . We close with the second place in the team between the female Olympic archery students of Corini, De Luca and Ferrari and the male compound master bronze of Stanzione, Paccagnini and Martucci.
