The Suzaku Club wins 8 medals in the Villa de Amurrio Trophy • Forofos Magazine

The Judo Club Suzaku de Burgos paid off his participation in the XXVIII Villa de Amurrio International Tournament disputed in the Banueta Sports Center with some great results and up to eight of his judokas getting on the podium. The championship was reserved for athletes from the infantile and cadet categories, and the balance of the judokas of the Club Suzaku it was of 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 2 bronzes.

In the Children’s category The following Burgos athletes got on the podium: plata for Alejandro Inchausti (-50kg) y bronces for Jon Ander Palomares (-46kg) y carolina rodriguez (-48kg). And in the cadet category, the Burgos medalists were: gold for Gael Oma (-55kg), Ángela Higuero (-48kg) and Iker Coca (-73kg); and silver for Javier Campos (-50kg) and Carla Romero (-57kg).

Furthermore, highlight that Victor Gutierrez (-55kg) achieved the 7th position in the cadet category, and that Alvar Alonso(-55kg) and Georgi Borislavov (-55kg) they did great fights but they could not qualify for the qualifier. The Villa de Amurrio International Tournament once again had a stellar participation, after 2 years of stoppage due to the pandemic clubs from different autonomous communities attended the event

Burgos judokas competed among the best and showed their high level once again demonstrating their great potential to be candidates to be selected for the Spanish Championship.
