Two members of the Huelva TSV judo team, who train every day at the facilities of the Diego Lobato Municipal Sports Center, traveled to Madrid last weekend to play the most important event in national judo, the absolute Spanish Championship. In this way, in the previous weeks, Huelva athletes Javier Pérez and Paula Pérez they obtained their place for the important appointment in the qualifier that took place in Cádiz.
Xavier Perez, despite starting as one of the highlights in the -60Kg categorydid not have the best of his days and, after winning his first fight and fighting to the end in the second, he had to settle for both fights as experience, with the intention of improving this position in the next opportunities.
For her part, Paula Pérez, still in junior age, although she did not reach prominent positions, also held a very hard-fought and demanding competition, losing in the second round with the favorite and later winner of the tournament. At the end, the athlete commented that “I feel that the effort is paying off and that just getting here has great valueWell, it’s not something easy, but you have to keep training and polishing mistakes to improve”.
