The future of the Lions, reborn as a great body at STC

[OSEN=손찬익 기자] The 2023 rookie players who will be responsible for the future of the Lions are preparing for their first professional debut season at the Samsung Training Center (STC), Samsung Sports Team’s best asset.

Rookie players, including first-round pitcher Lee Ho-seong, have been undergoing a systematic training program at the Samsung Training Center since the 1st. Healing and reinforcement training in the morning, weight training and swimming in the afternoon to build up the body.

As is well known, STC’s rehabilitation system is the best in Korea. In addition to state-of-the-art equipment, there are hotel-level lodgings, restaurants, laundry rooms, etc., where you can concentrate only on exercise and have a training schedule that takes into account individual characteristics.

In addition, professional personnel such as trainers, therapists, and weight training staff are assigned to help rehabilitation athletes recover. Even compared to the national athlete’s village, it would be nice if it was better. There is nothing missing.

An official from the club explained, “We do this every year to improve the skills of new players. After entering STC, we are training more systematically. In particular, in the case of weight training, it is an opportunity to learn the scientific exercise method unique to STC.”

Lee Ho-seong said, “I am very satisfied with both the training program and its effects. I learn a lot from interacting with players from other sports. Talking to badminton players, who are similar to a pitcher’s arm throw, helps me in many ways.”

Satisfaction with parts outside of training is also high. Lee Ho-seong said, “Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all very good. Athletes who need to gain weight came here and gained weight.”

Meanwhile, new players will join Gyeongsan Ball Park on January 3 next year. /[email protected]
