On December 26, 2022, the National U19 Youth Basketball League ended successfully in Chengdu, Sichuan. In the final final, Shanghai Jiushi defeated Qingdao Guoxin Haitian 75:70 and won the final championship. Wan Menglin won the Most Valuable Player with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 46.2% three-point shooting. Lu Wei, the head coach of Shanghai Jiushi, won the best coach.
According to the rules of the game, the two sides need to send two different AB lineups in the first and second quarters.
In the first quarter, the two sides sent a Group A lineup. Facing Yang Hansen’s defense, the Shanghai team did not choose to play hard on the inside, but used the defensive counterattack to constantly tear open the opening of the attack, beating the Qingdao team 7:0. Relying on a smooth organizational offense, the Shanghai team played 26:16 in the first quarter and established a leading advantage. Zhang Jiahao performed well and almost took half of the Shanghai team’s points in this quarter. In the second quarter, after the two sides dispatched the Group B lineup, the scene fell into a stalemate. At the end of the half, the Shanghai team temporarily led 39:29.
In the second half, the Qingdao team sent Yang Hansen again. But obviously, the Shanghai team did enough homework for him, and the point difference soon widened to 18 points. In the final quarter, Yang Hansen began to show his talent in the paint and led the Qingdao team to tie the score 2 minutes before the end. After that, the scores of the two sides rose alternately, and the game entered a fierce battle. The Shanghai team hit a three-pointer at a critical moment, and then took advantage of the Qingdao team’s mistake to counterattack and dunk quickly to seal the victory.
