Tennis Integrity disables the French Okala and Lescure for fixing

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) confirmed on Friday that French players Jules Okala and Mick Lescure have been suspended in perpetuity for their involvement in multiple cases of match-fixing since 2014.

According to the ITIA, both tennis players have admitted the charges within an extensive investigation carried out in France and Belgium and the sanction includes the prohibition of participating or attending any event organized by the bodies responsible for tennis, in addition to a financial fine.

Jules Okala, 25 years old and ranked 338 in the ATP as his best ranking, was found guilty of fixing seven matches and, in addition to disqualification, will have to pay a fine of $15,000

Mik Lescure, 29, with his best ATP ranking of 487, has been charged with eight counts and will also have to pay a $40,000 fine.

The matters have been resolved by the official of the independent anti-corruption office Charles Hollander.
