surzur. A general increase in municipal prices and the school canteen

The city council of Surzur (Morbihan) met on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

Municipal rates on the rise

The city council’s finance commission has recommended an increase in all municipal prices: use of communal halls, cultural activities (media library, multimedia space, musical activities), concessions to the cemetery, photocopies, refreshments, communal festive meals, rights space, shows, fairs, tourist taxes.

Due to high food inflation and overhead costs in 2022, an increase in school meal prices is also proposed, with the exception of the lowest income families. The rates are as follows: 1 €, 4 €, 4.25 €, 4.75 € and 4.95 €, depending on the brackets (0.30 € more for children from non-conventioned municipalities, except for bracket 1) . The provisional budget for the stay of 36 teenagers at Parc Astérix at the end of April 2023 is also set: €13,744, including €9,036 for family participation, with staggered prices from €240 to €265, depending on the tranches (€20 in addition for children from non-conventioned municipalities). The city council approved.

Allocation of grants to associations

€2,390 in grants will be allocated to nine local life associations: Repair café, Mammasso, Au souffle d’Awen, Photo club, Children first, Unacita, Rural families, Food bank, Les boutiques du center bourg . To which are added the €11,000 dedicated to the sixteen sports associations: Taochinagot, Equivox, Nordic de Rhuys, Rhuys rugby club, Etoile sportive, Foulées de Surzur, Judo club, Tennis club, underwater association, Les gambettes surzuroises, Archers, Volleyball- club, Rhuys handball, Futsal, La boule surzuroise and Rural families.

Budget 2023

The mayor is authorized to commit, in advance, investment expenditure, in the main budget, within the limit of a total amount of €951,071, i.e. a quarter of the 2022 investment budget, until the budget is voted main 2023.

Municipal roads

An update of the classification of the roads, all property of the municipality, and already open to traffic, is necessary, assures Jean-Paul Le Bihan, assistant for roads and works. This concerns the municipal lanes of road nature, nine lanes of street nature, twenty-five of public squares and parking lots and 6,636 m of municipal roads.

Housing and shops to come

It is envisaged the construction of fourteen intergenerational social housing, five free housing and five shops, rue Saint-Symphorien. The study and implementation of this program will be entrusted to Vannes Golfe Habitat in Vannes.
