Street Fighter 6 gives us the total!

Capcom didn’t mess around with the Game Awards since the publisher released a lot of information on its Street Fighter 6, in addition to a new video which highlights in particular the World Tour mode combining fights and mini-games aimed at advance our avatar. As its name suggests, said mode will make us travel around the world, from Jamaica to Italy via the United States or even France. Note in passing that it will be possible for the same avatar to mix special moves from different Masters and perform Hadoken, Sonic Boom, Spinning Bird Kick or Yoga Flame as long as these moves are not assigned identical controls. A Master Assist function has also been integrated to bring in the main characters, the masters, like Ryu, to help our avatar for a certain period of time.

But that’s not all since Capcom has also just released the game’s release date and June 2, 2023 has been selected. He took the opportunity to lift the veil on four new fighters in the cast, three newcomers and the famous Dee Jay who signs his return here. Finally, the publisher has also given some information on the editions that will be available for purchase and which can now be pre-ordered.

• DEE JAY – First appearing in Super Street Fighter II, Dee Jay is a dance music superstar. He retains his rhythm-packed special moves like Air Slasher, Double Rolling Sobat, Machine Gun Upper, and Jackknife Maximum, while adding new moves like Just Cool and Weekend Pleasure to his arsenal. Players can visit Bathers Beach, the setting of Dee Jay in Street Fighter 6, to experience a very musical seaside party at sunset.
• MANON Top model and world judo champion, the beautiful Manon parades on the catwalks of street fights with the aim of becoming the strongest model in the world. His movements are a graceful and surprising mix between judo and classical ballet, with special moves like the Mange Dor, the Revers, the Pas de Deux, and other assets to unsettle his opponents. The players will find it in a setting of Fte Foraine in France.
• MARISA – An up-and-coming Italian jewelry designer, Marissa claims ancestry among ancient Greek warriors. With a strong character, she uses her long limbs to unleash slow but gargantuan blows like the devastating Gladius, the defensive counter Scutum, the mighty Quadriga kick, and the almighty Goddess of the Hunt. Marisa will savor her victories by knockout in her official setting, Colosseo, cheered on by ancient warriors always ready for battle.
• JP – As head of Nayshall, a successful non-governmental organization, JP is responsible for many successful investments. Her adoring cat is called Cybele. JP is perfectly equipped to take control of the fight from every angle with moves like the powerful vacuum-creating Departure, the clone-deploying Torbalan, the embrace Embrace, and the destructive Interdiction.

Three editions are available for pre-order now. They give access to alternate colors for outfit 1 of Chun-Li, Jamie, Manon, Dee Jay, Juri and Ken. Digital pre-orders on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 will also receive exclusive items such as 18 special in-game titles and 18 stickers representing character visuals available at release, usable as optional profile customization.
• STANDARD EDITION (physical/digital) – Includes the base game (Fighting Ground, World Tour, Battle Hub) and all 18 characters available at launch.
• DELUXE EDITION (digital) – Includes the base game and Year 1 Character Pass (containing four characters), 3-10 colors for outfit 1 of each of these Year 1 characters, and a bonus 4,200 Drive tickets for in-game purchases.
• ULTIMATE EDITION (digital) – Includes the base game and the Year 1 Ultimate Pass, which contains Year 1 Character Pass content, two additional costumes and their alternate colors for the four Year 1 characters, two additional stages, and a bonus of 7,700 Drive tickets.
