Sporting studies turning Racing de la Guía into its third team

Sporting is considering having a second subsidiary to strengthen its commitment to the youth academy, and has even recently had some contact with Racing de la Guía, which is currently in the Second RFFPA (Second Regional). Those responsible for the rojiblanca youth academy are studying signing an agreement with a club from Gijón to act as a fishing ground. That is to say, prior to the subsidiary. The idea is that this second subsidiary –if it leaves– competes in the short term in the RFEF Third Division, a category that Sporting B currently occupies. Therefore, before taking further steps, the first objectives are clear: the promotion of the first subsidiary, the one that currently direct Dani Dies y Samuel Banosthe Second RFEF.

Racing de la Guía, in fact, knows the Mareo facilities, where it has already trained, so the adaptation would be faster than that of other clubs. Relations between entities are also fluid. They would, yes, remain to go through two categories until they reached Third RFEF.

In Mareo, in addition, Gijón Industrial is on the radar, a historical player from Gijón who is currently in the First RFFPA. There are also other club names on the list. The bulk of the contacts, in any case, have been maintained Oscar Garro with the directors of Racing de La Guía. Those responsible for the youth academy in Mareo believe that having a third team in Tercera RFEF will be very useful and advantageous in their future plan so that youth players who are used to playing at a different pace of competition in the National League and Division of Honor. It will also be good as a starting point for some of the promises that can be recruited from foreign competitions. And because that third team would further consolidate that northern game philosophy that the coaches at the club want to develop. The idea, in fact, is to recover the classic values of Sporting: that fierce, intense, vertical style, qualities that the best generation in the club’s history had. The projection of that second subsidiary would also be closely related to the idea of recovering residence in Mareo. At the moment, the planned works on the current upper floor of the Sporting changing rooms have not started. But in the most optimistic calculations of the rojiblanco club, it is expected to start that operation in the coming months. The intention is even that the great project for Mareo can be inaugurated for the next season. In any case, managers are very cautious when setting an exact date to start using it.
