Team Tango’s frenetic championship celebrations in Argentina made Lionel Messi received a negative response from Paris Saint-Germain fans (PSG).
During the Argentina national team parade, goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez was seen holding a baby doll with a photo of Kylian Mbappe attached to its face.
The photo of Martinez holding the Mbappe baby doll immediately went viral. Right beside Mbappe is Messi, who is smiling.
Even though the smile was seen by Messi for the fans who flooded the celebratory party, the 35-year-old player still came under fire from PSG fans.
On social media, anger at Messi can be seen being voiced by PSG fans. Some even wrote messages so that Messi would not come to Paris again.
Other netizens also brought up Messi’s success at the 2022 World Cup after the collector of seven Ballon d’Or titles played for PSG.
There are also those who compare that if France were to become world champions, there would be no mockery of Messi like Martinez did to Mbappe.
Another account says that when France held its world championships party four years ago, there was no sarcasm aimed at Croatian star Luka Modric.
