Graubünden’s Alex Fiva (35) season is already over. The 2021 world champion and 2022 Olympic vice-champion tore the cruciate ligament in his left knee on Friday when he fell in the quarter-finals in Val Thorens. The internal ligament is also torn.
This injury is the second blow in barely a week for the Swiss skicross team, which will play at home on Monday for the World Cup round in Arosa. The Bernese Sanna Lüdi thus made it known last week that she would not participate in any race this winter for medical reasons.
