Six players from Soria in the Spanish U-13 Badminton Championship

With a large participation of 125 athletes from the national scene, the six Sorianos will try to demonstrate the level of the Soriano club’s youth system. Being the majority of first-year players, the objective set for all of them is to qualify for the final phase after overcoming the group phase.

In a better position than the rest, both Jimena Ayllón and Daniel Marín start, who are seeded number fifteen and number twenty, respectively in their individual draws, with the rest having a complicated draw since in several modalities the draw has framed them against the first seeds.

Together with Jimena and Daniel, they will be on Murcian lands: Naroa Alvaro, Aarón Barrera, Alvaro Gómez and Iker González, all of them participating in the singles and doubles modality. There will also be a couple in the mixed double, the one formed by Jimena Ayllón and Aarón Barrera, which will mean an increase in the physical effort of both. Víctor Ortega will be the coach in charge of directing these youngsters during the Spanish Championship.

On the other hand, the runner-up in Spain under-17 Javier Barrios belonging to the Soroa-CS24 Badminton Club will close his competition calendar in Oviedo by participating in an under-19 test in order to position himself in the national ranking and thus access national competitions restricted to certain players determined by ranking. Javier will play both the men’s singles modality and the mixed double box together with Elena Dueñas from Burgos.
