Several women fight in Toledo against gender violence at the hands of judo

The Toledo City Council, through the Department of Sports and the Municipal Sports Board, has promoted a “Day of Gender Violence” by the Sports Club “Judo y Jiu-Jitsu Toledo” and the collaboration of the Local Police.

An activity that has taken place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Martial Arts Hall of the Santa María de Benquerencia Sports Center in charge of this entity that has been contributing for years to the promotion of equality within the sports field through numerous initiatives such as the self defense workshop for women that took place this Saturday.

The councilors of Sports and Youth, Pablo García, and the Councilor for Equality, Ana Belén Abellán, have visited the 28 women who have participated in the proposal led by the president of the Judo and Jiu-Jitsu Toledo Sports Club, Juan José Hernández, and the monitor Álvaro Angelina, as reported by the City Council in a press release.
