The Cordoba Sports Confederation held the Escudo awards ceremony last Thursday. Athletes from our city were distinguished and Daiana Nanzer was awarded the White Shield.
This Thursday, at the Quality Space in the city of Córdoba Capital, the gala was held to receive the 128 award-winning athletes and live an evening of pure sport. These prizes are awarded by the province’s Sports Confederation, which brings together most of the Federations of the different disciplines.
Among the San Francisco winners were the El Ceibo Association for their achievements in basketball, including the two-time champion title of the Provincial Basketball League and promotion to the Federal League for the second consecutive year.
Also as a team, the Under 15 team of the San Francisco Regional League was awarded, which won the provincial and regional, and reached the semifinals in the National played in Comodoro Rivadavia.
Under the team modality, the Argentine Youth Cheerleading team also received the Shield award. In that group is Paulina Ricca from San Francisco.
In individual disciplines he was awarded by the Judo Federation, Alejandro Kunkel. The blind judoka from our city had a great year in which he was summoned by the Argentine national team and will be part of the Parapan American that will take place in Colombia next year.
María Sol Capello was another of those distinguished for her great performance in 2022 on paddle tennis. She reached the minor team and obtained the South American representing our country.
Finally, in Aerobic Gymnastics, the native of our city, Daiana Nanzer, was selected by the Federation. But the athlete was also awarded the Escudo Blanco award for her outstanding career in amateur sports.
