The local Government Board has approved the granting of subsidies to 13 clubs and sports associations and 10 individual athletes, for their federative achievements obtained in the last year.
The local Government Board has approved today the concession of subsidies in sports matters 2022, the total amount of which amounts to 185,500 euros, and which are intended to promote grassroots sport through aid to non-profit sports associations and clubs, as well as value the effort of federated athletes.
In this call, subsidies have been awarded to 13 associations of different modalities such as rhythmic, soccer, futsal, athletics, taekwondo, squash, judo, beach volleyball, or canoeing. Grants have also been approved for 10 individual athletes with federative activity in the year 2022 and who have accredited their achievements in different sports disciplines.
In addition to this subsidy, in the area of promoting sports, the Governing Board has also approved the awarding of service contracts for directed sports activities, municipal sports schools, lifesaving and rescue services, and summer swimming courses.
Likewise, the award of the contract for the partial remodeling works of the stands of the Lo Pagán soccer field has been approved, the winning project of the 2022 participatory budgets and which will mean the improvement of municipal sports infrastructures, with more space for spectators and better services at the José Antonio Pérez stadium.
